The Most Stunningly Beautiful News Anchors in the World

In days of yore, newscasters were serious, suited and monochrome. Today, though, they’re practically the epitome of glamor. Audiences have to feel inspired to keep watching, after all – even on slow news days. And while you of course need smarts to be an anchor, good looks don’t exactly hurt. That’s lucky for these journalists, who are almost certainly the most beautiful in their field.

41. Jamie Colby

Jamie Colby has carved out quite the career for herself on the small screen. The gorgeous news host proved her chops by picking up an Edward R. Murrow Award for her coverage of the September 11 terrorist attacks. She also became a mainstay on Fox News before helming the Fox Business Network show Strange Inheritance until 2018.

40. Nicole Lapin

Nicole Lapin’s face may seem pretty familiar to you, as she’s been an anchor for Bloomberg, CNN and CNBC at various points. She’s even tried her hand as a reality television presenter. Yep, Lapin oversaw the short-lived business series Hatched between 2015 and 2016. And while the CW show eventually petered out, the stunning journalist has since bounced back as a bestselling author and business expert for hire.

39. Robin Meade

Robin Meade is a literal beauty queen. Yep, just call her Miss Ohio! She also made it to the semi-finals of the Miss America contest in the ’90s. But, of course, that isn’t the extent of her achievements. After joining the CNN Headline News team in 2001, the anchor rose to earn her own show, Morning Express with Robin Meade, on HLN. She also has a regional Emmy Award to her credit.

38. Sara Carbonero

Sara Carbonero made her name on Spain’s Telecinco network, although that may not be her biggest claim to fame. During the 2010 soccer World Cup, you see, she became the subject of her own headlines. Back then, stories emerged that Carbonero’s appearance had taken her soccer star boyfriend’s attention away from the game – one that the Spanish national team went on to lose. All’s well that ends well, though, as they eventually won the tournament!

37. Sandra Smith

After joining the Fox fold in 2007, Sandra Smith has been a mainstay on our screens. You may have seen her on America’s Newsroom, for instance, or filling in on The Five. Most recently, though, the radiant anchor has joined forces with John Roberts to break all the latest big news on America Reports.

36. Britt McHenry

After ESPN took on Britt McHenry in 2014, she quickly established herself as a go-to reporter at sporting events in Washington, D.C. But it wasn’t long before the beautiful blonde headed for pastures new, and now she’s now a fully-fledged anchor for video streaming service Fox Nation. Quite a rise, wouldn’t you say?

35. Michelle Kosinski

Michelle Kosinski may be a contributor to podcast The Perfect Scam, but her career is definitely legit. The Emmy Award winner made her way up the ranks of NBC before settling in at CNN, where she held the White House to rights as a correspondent. Need a journalist unafraid to ask the big questions? She’s your woman.

34. Maria Quiban

Maria Quiban brightens up screens on KTTV – even when the weather’s looking a little gloomy that day. But even if you’re not an LA native, you may recognize the meteorologist’s face. The TV anchor in Will Ferrell’s Step Brothers? That’s her! Quiban has also appeared in Medium, Bruce Almighty and 24 as a reporter, which probably wasn’t too much of a stretch.

33. Liz Cho

If being on this list wasn’t enough of an accolade, then Liz Cho can at least boast of being named one of People’s 50 Most Beautiful in 2003. That was the year she also joined NYC’s WABC-TV. And as an anchor, Cho’s overseen many memorable occasions – Prince William’s wedding and Ronald Reagan’s funeral being just two of them.

32. Margaret Brennan

Margaret Brennan proved she had considerable brains to go with her beauty as an award-winning scholar at the University of Virginia. It’s no wonder, then, that’s she’s since become CBS News’ senior foreign affairs correspondent. This plum position came after stints at CNBC and Bloomberg Television, where Brennan established her business news credentials.

31. Jackie Guerrido

Jackie Guerrido doesn’t look old enough to have a 25-year career under her belt. But it’s true! And when she’s not drinking from the fountain of youth, she’s a weather presenter on Univision news show Primer Impacto. Spanish speakers got to see another side to the media veteran, though, when she appeared on Mira Quién Baila – Univision’s take on Dancing with the Stars – in 2010.

30. Cheryl Burton

Cheryl Burton has essentially become part of the furniture at WLS-TV. The anchor made her debut at ABC’s Chicago station back in 1992, and she can currently be seen bringing a steady and reassuring presence to the news there. But that’s definitely not all. During her long career, Burton has picked up a whopping 13 Emmy Awards. Pretty incredible!

29. Jedediah Bila

Jedediah Bila was once a teacher, but her savvy political analysis couldn’t help but get her noticed by Sean Hannity. Yes, the controversial host liked what he heard, and that’s led Bila on to a pretty enviable career. Following a stint as a co-host on The View, she’s since settled down at Fox News as a weekend host of Fox and Friends.

28. Harris Faulkner

Harris Faulkner’s six Emmy Awards pretty much speak for themselves. No wonder Fox News has kept her on its books since 2005! And she currently has a pretty busy slate. At present, Faulkner presents both Outnumbered and her own show, rather unoriginally titled The Faulkner Focus, for the network.

27. Krystal Ball

Krystal Ball has been a small-screen regular for about a decade now – and, yes, that’s her real name! You may remember her from MSNBC’s The Cycle, for instance. And while the whip-smart commentator has since pivoted to online TV with The Hill’s Rising, she’s still a political force to be reckoned with.

26. Melissa Stark

Long-time Monday Night Football fan? Then you probably remember Melissa Stark filling us in from the sidelines. But the NFL Network star has plenty of other strings to her bow. She’s been an MSNBC Olympics anchor, for instance, and has reported on the baseball World Series, the NHL’s Stanley Cup Finals and even professional figure skating. If you want a big game covered by a beautiful woman who knows her stuff, then she’s the one to call.

25. Amy Robach

Amy Robach’s résumé is enough to make even veteran news anchors turn green with envy. Plenty of folks would like her co-anchor job on 20/20, after all... But Robach has earned it. She has that stint on Today under her belt, for one. Then there’s her time as the go-to news anchor on Good Morning America. Basically, she’s as accomplished as she is good-looking, which is quite an achievement.

24. Siân Welby

Siân Welby brought a touch of glam to the weather reports on the U.K.’s Channel 5. She probably made news of torrential rain less of a bitter pill to swallow! But the eye-catching anchor eventually transitioned to British radio, and she now brightens up the early hours as a co-host on Capital FM’s breakfast show.

23. Jillian Mele

Jillian Mele isn't just a pretty face — she's also a multi-award winning journalist. Mele is best known for serving as co-anchor of Fox & Friends First, but earlier in her career she got her hands on a pair of Emmys for her NBC sports coverage. She parted ways with Fox News in 2021 but was soon back on the beat with WPVI-TV in Philadelphia in 2022.

22. Alicia Menendez

Alicia Menendez isn’t just a top-flight MSBNC anchor, although that’s pretty good going in itself. We seriously wonder where she finds all the time...

21. Susan Li

The trilingual journalist has been a savvy hire for CCTV and Bloomberg Television, although she currently holds correspondent jobs at both CNBC and the Fox Business Network.

20. Lindsay Czarniak

Lindsay Czarniak’s raw talent and beauty made her one of ESPN’s biggest names. And Czarniak’s skills didn’t escape George Michael, who once called the former SportsCenter anchor “the best hire [he’d] ever made.” Talk about high praise! Today, you can see the reporter presenting NASCAR events for Fox. She pops up from time to time at NFL games, too.

19. Courtney Friel

Courtney Friel cut her teeth with a six-year stint on Fox News, although fans may also know the blonde beauty for her appearances on satirical show Red Eye. Currently an anchor for Los Angeles station KTLA, she’s also won her fair share of plaudits – including a coveted Emmy nomination in 2014.

18. Julie Banderas

Half-Colombian Julie Banderas began her career on regional news networks before breaking through to the big leagues. Yep, the Emmy she earned in 2004 won the stunning anchor a spot at Fox News, where she ultimately ended up on Fox Report Weekend. We don’t blame Banderas for switching to weekday shows, though, as she did in 2018.

17. Bianna Golodryga

Though she was born in Moldova, beautiful Bianna Golodryga actually started her TV career in the U.S. And it’s pretty fair to say she’s been successful! From 2010 to 2014, she co-anchored the weekend version of Good Morning America – a plum role many journalists would give their eyeteeth for. Nowadays, though, Golodryga and her winning smile can be seen on CNN.

16. Ghida Fakhry

As a host on Al Jazeera English, Ghida Fakhry lit up screens all over the world – and she’s continuing to do so on Turkish network TRT World. 14. Kristie Lu Stout

Kristie Lu Stout may have started her career in the U.S., but she’s really honed her craft as a CNN International anchor in China. An avid social media user, Stout also has a passion for new technology that’s helped her gain a fan base outside of her TV appearances. Mind you, her beauty may have something to do with that as well...

13. Ainsley Earhardt

As a co-host on Fox & Friends, Earhardt is the charming counterpoint to the more bluff Brian Kilmeade and Steve Doocy. That said, she’s no stranger to controversy – just like her former colleague Sean Hannity. The self-professed devout Christian joined Fox News in 2007 and first sat on the Fox & Friends sofa in 2015.

12. Sweta Singh

A prominent sports journalist in her native India, Sweta Singh has racked up her fair share of industry acclaim and awards. And this radiant reporter’s professionalism has seen her rise up the ranks to become both a presenter and an executive editor of long-running news channel Aaj Tak.

11. Andrea Tantaros

As one of Fox News’s most prominent political commentators, Andrea Tantaros anchored hit shows such as The Five and Outnumbered. The vibrant host’s time at the network was allegedly marred by sexual misconduct, however, and since then she’s been involved in legal proceedings that have kept her off our TV screens.

10. Natalie Morales

Back in 2005, Natalie Morales was named among the “top Hispanics to watch” by Hispanic magazine. Great prediction, as she now has millions watching her as an anchor for Today. 9. Sharon Tay

In 1993 Singaporean sensation Sharon Tay got her big break when she was hired as a reporter by a CBS affiliate. Possessing one of the most illustrious track records of any news anchor, gorgeous Gigi Stone has worked for ABC, Bloomberg, CBS and NBC. Or you could just watch her do her thing on screen – and make it look all too easy.

6. Laurence Ferrari

Though she originally wanted to pursue a career in medicine, Laurence Ferrari later decided that her true calling lay in front of a TV camera. And she probably doesn’t regret it, as she’s since gone on to anchor the news for TF1 – one of France’s most-watched networks. More recently, she’s brought her sharp interview skills to French CNN equivalent CNews.

5. Brooke Baldwin

As the afternoon host of CNN Newsroom, Brooke Baldwin has been beamed into living rooms across America since 2008. But while she may often appear sober on screen, she does have a sharp wit hidden away. In 2014, you see, she came out on top at the New York’s Funniest Reporter Show. That’ll serve her well when she departs CNN for pastures new in 2021.

4. Cristina Dochianu

Sensational sports anchor Cristina Dochianu is well known in her native Romania, where she hosts Click! for Prima TV. And as well as being undeniably talented, Dochianu is unafraid to flaunt her good looks. In fact, she even once posed for the Romanian edition of Playboy. You can’t say that about Chris Berman...

3. Megyn Kelly

A practicing attorney before she broke into journalism, Megyn Kelly is now known for her hard-hitting interviews with heavyweights such as Donald Trump. And while the former Fox News star may have flopped at NBC, she’s still a force to be reckoned with thanks to her The Megyn Kelly Show podcast.

2. Lauren Sánchez

If you’re an avid fan of The View, then you’ll probably know Lauren Sánchez straight off the bat. Californian? Then you may recognize her from co-hosting KTTV’s Good Day LA. And if neither of those applies but she still looks familiar, then you could have seen Sánchez on the big screen. Yep, she’s a movie star of sorts, having appeared in such hit films as Fight Club and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. She usually plays a news reporter, natch.

1. Mélissa Theuriau

Plenty of folks outside of France know about Mélissa Theuriau, and it’s not because of her reporting. Yes, the “bombe cathodique” – or television bombshell – has had international acclaim for her beauty. Most notably, in 2006, Maxim dubbed her “TV’s sexiest news anchor.” But Theuriau hasn’t used this to transition to a modeling career, as she’s still an anchor on French network M6.

Of course, not all of the beautiful women we see host the news. Some make the headlines instead! And although 2020 was, to say the least, a bit of a crazy 12 months, these stunning actresses, musicians and sportswomen still earned their share of column inches through the year. Let’s revisit what they were doing and why the world knew about it.

40. Margot Robbie

Margot Robbie was one of the lucky people who actually got to be in a released movie in 2020. That was the Harley Quinn film Birds of Prey – her second outing as the famous DC Comics character. But there’s more. Robbie found herself nominated for an Oscar, BAFTA and Golden Globe for the movie Bombshell that year. Wow!

39. Shakira

Who was the most searched musical artist in 2020? Well, considering all the wild celebrity stuff that went on that year, you might be surprised to learn it was Shakira. 38. Adele

Let’s face it, a lot of us put on weight during 2020. But not Adele – she lost it! In June that year she unveiled a brand new slimmed-down look and blew everyone away. Her inner circle credited the sudden transformation to a sirtfood diet and the help of a fitness expert. But it must have taken a lot of willpower as well.

37. Ruby Rose

There was bad news for those who wanted to see more of Ruby Rose as television’s Batwoman. In May 2020 the model-turned-actress announced she would be stepping down from the role. Ah well, she’s still the internet’s girlfriend – with or without a cape.

36. Serena Williams

Serena Williams reached new heights in her tennis career come 2020, but really did anyone expect anything else? In January she won the Auckland Open – something she hadn’t done since 2017. Oh, and Williams donated her prize money to Australian firefighters as well.

35. Ariana Grande

Once upon a time, Ariana Grande was engaged to Pete Davidson, but she called that off. Fast forward a couple of years to 2020 and she’s engaged again! Second time’s the charm, right?

34. Jada Pinkett Smith

In 2020 Jada Pinkett Smith introduced a whole new term into internet discourse. 33. Katy Perry

Schmidt turned Playboy magazine down when the publication inevitably came calling.

30. Khloe Kardashian

In 2020 it was announced – to the joy of some and the sorrow of others – that the long-running Keeping Up with the Kardashians was coming to an end. 25. Demi Lovato

Everything seemed to be going well for Demi Lovato at the beginning of 2020. She went into lockdown with her boyfriend Max Ehrich and insiders claimed they were becoming closer than ever. Then in July they got engaged – only to reverse that decision within a few months. Anonymous sources claimed it was an amicable split, but social media posts from Ehrich indicated that maybe it wasn’t.

24. Gal Gadot

Poor Gal Gadot; a clearly well-intentioned performance spiraled way beyond her control. Even in a year full of news, one of the top stories for a while was Gadot’s “Imagine” music video and how tone-deaf it was. She later admitted it wasn’t the best idea. At least her new Wonder Woman movie got a release that year, though.

23. Alex Morgan

The famously gorgeous football player Alex Morgan became a mom in 2020. Her daughter Charlie Elena Carrasco was born on May 7 – and after that it was pretty much straight back on the field. Later the star showed off her new look in a DoorDash commercial during the 2020 Emmys.

21. Gwen Stefani

20. Brie Larson

The video game Animal Crossing: New Horizons was massive in 2020. And there was no better cheerleader for it than actress Brie Larson. 19. Zendaya

The lovely Zendaya made history at the Emmys in September. She was up against several older, more established actresses for Best Actress in a Drama Series. 18. Reese Witherspoon

In 2020 Reese Witherspoon won the internet by creating a viral meme. Yes, really. “The Reese Witherspoon Challenge” was everywhere during the summer. 17. Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett Johansson is, of course, one of the biggest stars of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And in 2020 she and her character Black Widow were all set to get a solo movie. Celebs, they’re just like us.

15. Ana de Armas

Knives Out actress Ana de Armas was one half of the biggest celeb couple of 2020. She and Ben Affleck were spotted hanging out with the latter’s children and apparently they even moved in together at one point. Though to the disappointment of their fans, it didn’t last. By January 2021 they had broken up, and the internet was suddenly awash with “BenAna Split” jokes and speculation.

14. Kylie Jenner

Reality TV star Kylie Jenner hit somewhat of a roadbump in 2020. The previous year Forbes had named her the world’s youngest self-made billionaire – but in May 2020 they went back on it. 13. Paige Spiranac

But she also won six Grammys and became the youngest person on Forbes magazine’s highest-paid celebrities list, so it’s not exactly all bad.

11. Kelly Clarkson

10. Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor-Joy told The Sun newspaper in 2020, “I have never and I don’t think I will ever think of myself as beautiful… I just think I’m weird-looking.” Though legions of people disagreed with her – including all those who watched her hit Netflix show The Queen’s Gambit that year. She’s now very much an in-demand actress!

9. Rihanna

Rihanna put her Savage X Fenty Show on Amazon Prime in 2020, and it was pretty amazing. There were all sorts of celebrity cameos – Paris Hilton, Demi Moore and Lizzo were just some of the names. And Vogue magazine described the whole thing as “jaw-dropping.” Yet that’s not all Rihanna did that year. She also donated a large sum to pandemic relief efforts.

8. Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez had a really good year. First of all, she released a new album – her first since 2015. Later, Gomez did something lots of us probably wanted to do during lockdown and adopted a puppy!

7. Taylor Swift

Megastar Taylor Swift did her absolute utmost to keep people entertained in 2020. She released not one but two surprise albums: Folklore and Evermore. And this was all the more impressive considering that during that year she was also re-recording six of her albums due to a difficult-sounding copyright dispute.

6. Mariah Carey

Not for nothing is Mariah Carey known as the queen of Christmas. She demonstrated this nicely in 2020 by putting on a festive spectacular called Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special. 5. Emma Corrin

Emma Corrin became a star in 2020 for one simple reason: she played Princess Diana in The Crown. The actress was also very good at it. But it’ll be thrilling to see where she goes from here.

4. Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez played the Super Bowl in 2020 alongside Shakira. That would be good enough on its own of course, though it wasn’t all she did. 3. Beyoncé

Beyoncé kept busy throughout 2020. She released a new visual album – Black is King – which instantly garnered a lot of praise. But she also took a lesson from the events of that year. She told Vogue magazine in October, “I truly cherish this time with my family, and my new goal is to slow down and shed stressful things from my life.”

2. Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian got absolutely roasted on social media in 2020. Why? Well, she made the incredibly ill-advised move of throwing a massive birthday party on a private island when most of the world was in lockdown. Her obliviousness did what little else that year had done and united Twitter in mockery.

1. Meghan Markle

When Meghan Markle left the royal family with Prince Harry at the beginning of 2020, she might have expected it to be the biggest news story of the year. She was wrong of course, but her name was still rarely out of the headlines. The couple are reportedly living in Santa Barbara now and happier than they were previously.
